This sweet Pineapple Orange Creamsicle Smoothie is a breakfast dream come true! Easy and healthy.
Breakfast will be hard to skip once you’ve tasted these smoothies! They are satisfyingly sweet while not being sugary. Good news for your daily calorie count!
Mornings are not my thing. I’m a night owl and, although I love eating breakfast, I’m rarely together enough in the morning to cook anything. That’s why I love this Pineapple Orange Creamsicle Smoothie! It is so easy to make that even I can manage it!
Beyond being easy, what I love even more about this Pineapple Orange Creamsicle Smoothie is that it tastes fantastic without being a ton of calories. That’s because it’s made with real fruit and whole milk ricotta cheese. I only added a little bit of agave syrup for added sweetness.
All together its very creamy drink that’s almost dessert like. That’s because of the ricotta, which unlike yogurt, adds richness and protein without added tanginess. I think this is a good thing since there is plenty of tart flavor in the orange juice and pineapple chunks. I know that ricotta might sound like an unusual ingredient in a smoothie, but it’s not enough to taste cheesy. Just enough to make your morning creamy, dreamy like a kid who’s stolen a creamsicle pop for breakfast!
The recipe makes two, but if you only need one smoothie, consider freezing the remaining amount into popsicles for a breakfast treat. Since our Fruity Yogurt Parfait Popsicles are our most popular breakfast recipe, I’m pretty sure you’ll love this cool summer idea!
