light brown sugar

cinnamon

ground ginger

black pepper

aged rum
Instructions
In a bowl combine cherries and powdered sugar.
Grill cherries on skewers or in a grill basket until cherries are charred and soft.
Melt butter in a medium sized pot and add, sugar, spices and cherries.
Bring mixture to a simmer and cook until sugar has dissolved.
Add rum and simmer a couple more minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
