I’ve teamed up with a group of awesome food bloggers to bring you the Thrive at Five Meal Plan. We want to help you get homemade dinners on the table, so each Friday we’ll be doing a roundup of recipes to help you plan your week day dinners…and some extras too!
The Thrive at Five Meal Plan-Week 15 brings a new blogger to our group. Please everyone give a warm welcome to Jenni from The Gingered Whisk. Her first recipe here on the meal plan is a Thai inspired slow cooker pork ribs recipe. It looks so delish, so she’s off to a great start with us!
I’m also super excited about Vanessa’s mamey smoothie. Until I went to Miami last year, I had no clue what mamey was! Well, its this gorgeously orange fruit that’s super sweet. We can’t get them here in West Virginia but I do know some southern Miami growers ship tropical produce. I’ve been super tempted to have some exotic produce sent my way, so maybe this is the week I do it!
What’s happening at Vintage Kitty HQ? It’s warm here…like in the 70s which is so very odd this time of year. The crocus have bloomed, the daffodils are poking out and I had the opportunity to take a 3 mile walk wearing short sleeves today! I went to Murphy’s Farm which is one of the satellite portions of Harpers Ferry National Historic Park. I would have liked to walk longer, but the sun was setting, and as always, the park ranger was patiently waiting to close the gate. Think I need to bribe him with cupcakes so I can stay a little longer 😉
Definitely need the exercise because I’m working on a couple cake recipes: beet and cinnamon. Not sure when they’ll get published, but let’s just say that the two year blog birthday is coming up soon! Very exciting!
