This Saucy Santa Cider Cocktail tastes like Christmas! Bubbly hard cider, fresh pomegranate seeds and springs of rosemary come together to make a festive holiday drink. Let’s toast to the season!
It’s time to get into the holiday spirit! Get jolly with this Saucy Santa Cider Cocktail while decorating the tree, wrapping presents or having friends over for the annual Christmas party.
Thanksgiving is officially over, so now I’m ready for some holiday cheer! It’s time to rock out to Wham’s “Last Christmas”, bake some cookies and settle into a cozy chair for lots of online shopping. The season can be busy and stressful, but it’s important to not take it so seriously you forget to have fun. Santa does it all with a smile, right?
We should all endeavor to be bubbly this time of year in honor of Jolly St. Nick, so I created this cocktail to spread some Christmas cheer.
The Saucy Santa Cider Cocktail is light, fruity, red, effervescent, and smells of pine trees! The flavors and smells are enticing, but this charming cocktail also looks the part. Red pomegranate seeds and a sprig of rosemary adorn a champagne glass of hard cider. Doesn’t that look merry?
Remember those thrift store saucers I found recently? I thought they would be perfect for a holiday themed cocktail. You could use any champagne glass, but I love how a coupe has such vintage flair. It makes me think of speakeasies, jazz and general frivolity… Lets balance a glass of Saucy Santa Cider Cocktail in one hand while we kick up our heels in a swing dance!
Can you tell I’m jazzed about the idea of snazzy Christmas? “Is Zat you Santa Claus?”

This is such a pretty drink! Love the rosemary and pomegranate in here. I love those coupe glasses. I looked all over town for some last week for a cocktail post I was doing, and not only did no one have them, but none of the sales people even knew what I was talking about!

Thanks Meghan. Coupes are hard to find but I do believe they are making a small comeback.
Natasha Kravchuk says
This looks great! Do you think it would work just as well with a regular sparkling cider (non alcohol)?
Vintage Kitty says
Thanks Natasha! I would omit the sugar, but I think non alcoholic sparkling cider would make a great virgin drink.

That’s awesome Michele! A tray should be easy to find. I think I got this one at Homegoods but I repainted it.
