I’ve teamed up with a group of awesome food bloggers to bring you the Thrive at Five Meal Plan. We want to help you get homemade dinners on the table, so each Friday we’ll be doing a roundup of recipes to help you plan your week day dinners…and some extras too!
The Thrive at Five Meal Plan-Week 14 is upon us and its mid-February! Goodness how time flies! Chellie has an Instant Pot Turkey Chili this week that is intriguing me. Instant Pot recipes seem to be EVERYWHERE lately. If you’ve never heard of one, its an electric pressure cooker. Gotta love a kitchen appliance that makes dinner faster!
With all that time you will save, you can make my most popular recipe Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. It’s not a quick recipe, but its so worth the effort. Its layers of cookie flavored cake and chocolate chip cookies with a vanilla buttercream. But as always there are many great recipes, so scroll down and look at the meal plan.
What’s happening at Vintage Kitty HQ? Last weekend we saw the Lego Batman movie. I was so hoping it would be as good as the Lego Movie, but I was very disappointed. Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood but I didn’t find it funny. We’re running out of movies we want to see so we might have to come up with a more exciting date night idea! LOL.
Speaking of date night…for Valentines Day I made a steak au poivre and a beet cake. It wasn’t anything super romantic because it was a work night, but it was a very tasty dinner. Kevin got me Defluri’s chocolates. YUM! I got Kevin Happy Socks, a tie and sand art for his desk at work. Guessing this weekend we’ll do something more formal. After being together for 20 years things are pretty darn casual around here!
What did you do for Valentines Day? Leave a comment below. You can also find us on Facebook @vintagekittycom, Twitter @theVintageKitty and Instagram @vintagekittyblog. We love to hear from you!
